Plano’s Art Centre Theatre (ACT) is hosting a trio of audition dates for its upcoming production of “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”. The show, directed by Rob Frey, will run from August 11-20, with rehearsal times to be determined.

According to the ACT, auditions will take place on the following dates and times:

  • June 28 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • July 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • July 2 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The ACT is seeking performers of “all race, age, performance level and gender identity” for the adult cast. Anyone over 18 years of age is eligible to participate for no cost. The ACT notes on its website that most productions are double cast when possible to ensure more chances for each actor and prepare for any unexpected absences.

The theater asks prospective actors to prepare a minute-long monologue in the show’s style for the audition. Those who cannot make the audition dates can submit a video audition to Frey via email at stirfrey67@gmail.com.

For more information, visit the Arts Centre Theatre website. The website also contains a link to email the theatre itself with pertinent background information for casting.

To have your theater’s upcoming audition potentially included on the Collin-Denton Spotlighter, please email Editor-in-Chief Brett Grega at brettg26101@gmail.com or collindentonspotlighter@gmail.com.
