2023 Dallas Travel & Adventure Show – Dallas

Book a trip to Dallas Market Hall to see this show dedicated to finding the best destination for you. Big Art Day and Big Art After Dark – Garland

April 1 is more than just April Fool’s Day in Garland. It’s also Big Art Day, a vibrant and diverse spring festival that celebrates local artists and their work. Festivalgoers can get a glimpse of art all around them starting at 11:00 a.m., from wildly imaginative decorated cars to community painting projects. For those who want to take some art back with them, there’s also a full-fledged art market and a Make and Take arts and crafts area hosted by Garland ISD Fine Arts. Attendees to the full slate of festivities throughout the day will even be able to enjoy some art on stage and on screen thanks to a full concert lineup and a Big Art After Dark special martial arts-themed cinematic experience. “Can I Kick It?” is an homage to martial arts movies and the music they’ve inspired, with a live remixed scene-by-scene soundtrack by DJ 2-Tone Jones. Spring Festival – A Victorian Eggstravaganza – Plano

Plano’s Heritage Farmstead Museum is also hosting its own spring festival from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on April 1, this one with an early Easter twist. The Victorian Eggstravaganza features egg hunts every half hour and a number of activities that take advantage of the museum’s unique setting. There will be mule-drawn wagon rides and farm animal photo ops as well as sheep shearing and wool processing demonstrations. Attendees can also grab lunch from onsite food trucks and check out some of the house tours and historic exhibits at the museum. NCAA Women’s Final Four Tourney Town – Dallas

On the first days of April, there are still plenty of chances to get in on the end of March Madness thanks to the American Airlines Center hosting the 2023 Women’s Final Four. Before the big games, check out Tourney Town at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Center, a free event full of special appearances, games, photo ops and more. Tourney Town also hosts the Beyond the Baseline panel series designed to help young female athletes and women interested in the sports industry learn tools for success. The star-studded series features panels including WNBA legend and three-time Olympic Gold Medalist Sheryl Swoops, Dallas Wings star and 2018 NCAA Women’s Basketball National Champion Arike Ogunbowale, WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert and many more. Tourney Town starts on March 30 and runs through April 2. Dog Days: Fashion Show and Adoption Event – Coppell

Dress up your dachshunds and bling up your bulldogs for this fashion show for the lovable pups in our lives. Hosted at The Grove at the Coppell Arts Center, the show features contests for best accessorized pooch, best matching owner/dog costumes and most creative costume. Registration and attendance are both free, with the show starting at 10 a.m. on April 1. Local pet vendors and an on-site adoption agency will be available for attendees.
