Pocket Sandwich Theatre announces auditions for “Four Weddings and an Elvis”

Pocket Sandwich Theatre recently announced auditions for its production of “Four Weddings and an Elvis,” directed by Staci Stickler. Auditions take place from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on March 24 and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on March 25 at 1225 W. College Suite #416, Carrollton, TX 75006. The production will run from May 17 – June 22.
Pocket Sandwich Theatre describes “Four Weddings and an Elvis” as following “Sandy, the four four-times-married-three-times-divorced owner of a wedding chapel in Las Vegas” as we see some of the funniest weddings to take place at her chapel.
According to the theater, auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. The theater will welcome walk-ins, but sign-up times are also available.
The theater notes rehearsals for the production will take place on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings as well as Sunday afternoons. Actors will typically only need to appear for one or two rehearsals a week, however, aside from the actor starring as Sandy.

Sandy, the four-times-married-three-times-divorced owner of a wedding chapel in Las Vegas, has certainly seen her fair share of matrimonies! In the hilarious Four Weddings and an Elvis, we witness four of her funniest: Bev and Stan, who are getting married–by the King himself–as revenge on their exes; Vanessa and Bryce, two arrogant aging stars who are tying the knot as a publicity ploy, and are vexed by an aging Elvis who doesn’t know who they are; and Martin and Fiona, a gentle postal-worker and a tough ex-con trying to get married before the police arrive! However, the final wedding is the funniest all: Sandy’s fifth and final wedding which reveals a hilarious twist!
